JUNKERS and the BAUHAUS
Hugo Junkers was a supporter and promoter of the Bauhaus from the very beginning. The Junkers Bauhaus series commemorates the collaboration between Bauhaus Dessau and Junkerswerke. Hugo Junkers made rooms available to the ambitious artists' movement in order to realise their ideas and also incorporated the Bauhaus philosophy into his own projects. The first models of the famous Bauhaus tubular steel armchair by Marcel Breuer were created at the Junkers factories. The results of this fruitful co-operation - until its destruction by the National Socialists in 1933 - live on to this day in art and architecture worldwide.
Junkers W33
As a further development of the successful F 13 passenger aircraft, the single-engine W 33 cargo transport low-wing aircraft took off on its maiden flight as a seaplane version on the Elbe near Dessau in June 1926.
Junkers JUMO
The abbreviation JUMO stands for Junkers Motor. This watch series pays homage with design highlights to this field of research and business, with which Hugo Junkers successfully built up his existence.
Junkers J1
The Junkers J1 special edition is dedicated to an aeroplane that only took to the air once and yet represented a revolution. Strictly limited to 1915 pieces.
